Our original shop rat rod (shown below) was struck by a motorist talking on the phone. But with all the good times it had provided us, we felt it necessary to keep it's spark firing and bring it back to life. The contest? That was just the incentive we needed to light a fire under the project.

The original plan was to create a rat rod from spare garage parts and employee contributed hours. The 1931 model 309 Chrysler was flipped, stretched, chopped, and contused into a rubber burning predator. Many a luncheon we piled out of it like circus clowns after haughtily rolling up in the one of a kind machine.

Keith and Kathleen Bright funded the project and beleive the teamwork developed is the real pay off. "They have to work together to build a car for employees by employees."

The newly finished "Rat Reborn" is completely upgraded with a powerful 1966 330 Hemi Engine, B&M Blower, Custom Dash & Guages, Custom Header and Pipes, plus Finished Interior and Sound System. This is quite a step from the horse blanket we used before. To see all the finalist, click "here"!
